Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using SimplePDF (the "Service") operated by SimplePDF ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms govern your access to and use of the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old, that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Acceptance of Terms

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SimplePDF. Your use of the Service — including browsing, creating an account, or processing any file — constitutes acceptance of these Terms in full.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and "you" refers to that organization.

Description of Service

SimplePDF is a browser-based document tool that allows users to view, edit, annotate, convert, and manage PDF and office documents. The Service is provided via the web at melontechai.com and includes both a free tier and paid subscription plans.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

Accounts & Eligibility

To access certain features you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate information — supply a valid email address and keep your account details current.
• Maintain security — keep your credentials confidential and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
• One account per person — you may not create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits or restrictions.
• Age requirement — you must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to create an account.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful content — process or transmit files that contain malware, infringe third-party intellectual property, or violate any applicable law.
• Abuse the platform — attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, reverse-engineer the software, or interfere with the Service's infrastructure.
• Circumvent restrictions — use automated tools, bots, or scripts to exceed rate limits or access paid features without a valid subscription.
• Misrepresent identity — impersonate any person or entity or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or organization.
• Redistribute the Service — resell, sublicense, or otherwise make the Service available to third parties without our prior written consent.

Intellectual Property

Our content. The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by SimplePDF and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our express written permission.

Your content. You retain full ownership of any files you upload or process through the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license solely to process your files for the purpose of delivering the Service to you. We do not claim any ownership over your documents.

Subscriptions & Payments

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Recurring billing — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (weekly, monthly, or yearly) until cancelled.
• Cancellation — you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access until then.
• No refunds — all payments are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us within 14 days.
• Price changes — we may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice via email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new price.
• Payment processing — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's terms and privacy policy govern payment processing.

Disclaimers

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any output produced by the Service, including OCR results or file conversions.

You use the Service at your own risk. You are solely responsible for any damage to your systems or loss of data that results from your use of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, SimplePDF and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses — arising from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your files or account.
• Any interruption, suspension, or termination of the Service.

In no event shall our total aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) USD $50.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion option in your settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SimplePDF operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved informally by contacting us. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction, as applicable under local law.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify registered users via the email address on file at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service.
